I tried to change the language but it stayed English as default. I just need to type Arabic text in word document with vista.

You will have to download the Arabic font / language from Microsoft first. Once you have the language and fonts go to your Regional and Language Settings and change the language there.How to type Arabic word doc text with windows Vista?
