Language change....Help!!?

I speak english but live in germany.... when i go to some sites like google, they go into german.... i change it to english, but the next time i visit it, it is still german.... some programs that i download also automatically install in german and the language cannot be changed.... i changed all languages in the control panel to English US. did i miss something that i had to change there??.... is there some other place i need to change the languages in??



also in the top right corner of internet explorer, the search bar always takes me to the google.de (germany) search, how do i change this??

Since these sites are determining the language to use from your internet location, there's not much you can do about it. You're connecting with a German IP address, so they're guessing that you want a German site. Theyt should be giving you the option to change that, but they aren't. Since you can't rewrite the sites, you can't fix the problem.
